This is the Native American Heritage Month resource produced by our students.

This week in Oak Middle School Leadership we are working on the next spirit activities. We will be hosting “Fun Winter Fridays” every Friday of December. Our Spirit and Activities team is also developing our first cross-cohort digital winter-themed game.

Our publicity team continues to deliver quality morning announcements. We started to include “Leo’s Corner,” with helpful tips for middle school student success.

Leadership’s Community Service continues to promote our canned food drive. Please bring spare canned foods to Oak! We would love to give back to our community and help those in need.

Through our leadership team and our ASB development group, we are also offering a 6th grade Leadership Club. They are included in developing spirit days and other important decisions. Our ASB development team is also working on an anti-discrimination public service announcement. Can’t wait to share!

Our recognition team continues to recognize teachers and staff on campus. They also did a recent club feature and created motivational and inspirational thanksgiving inspired signs for the staff bathrooms.

November is Native American Heritage month. Our student liaisons created a presentation with book recommendations, websites to check out, and notable people who have made a huge impact on  Native American history. In the presentation there are books you can check out at our own library. Check this resource out here!

Stay tuned for another update!
