Leadership Update (December 4th)

Hello everyone,

This week, Oak Middle School Leadership is collectively working on our upcoming events and much more. Here is what some of our departments are working on.

Our ASB development team runs our 6th grade Leadership Club and leads this group of leaders on our campus. This week they are brainstorming how we can better include LosAl @ home students in more activities. One way to connect all of our students was to create free winter grams to send between both cohorts and our @home students.

Our Student Liaisons are working on creating a presentation of data from a survey our Oak students took. This presentation will be taken to Mrs. Kominsky to show her ideas that Oak Lions have to share. This presentation will also be shown to Oak Leadership.

Spirit and Activities is working on a Kahoot Activity to involve all students at Oak. We will play holiday trivia at 1:15 next Wednesday. They also planned all of our upcoming Fun Winter Fridays, such as Cozy Day today. Our next spirit day is Friday, December 1tth: Ugly Sweater Day. There will even be a competition for Ugliest Sweater!

Recognition is working hard on recognizing all teachers and staff in weekly announcements. They are also working on our next club feature and developing more ways to recognize our Oak students!

Publicity is filming their weekly announcements. They are incorporating tips for our middle school students into our Leo’s Corner.

Community service is working on holiday themed posters and announcements from around the world. We are recognizing many celebrations like Hanukkah and Kwanzaa.

Thank you and have an amazing week!
